Great Songs And a Tremondus Loss
Today's column mentions some great songs and one great Loss that anyone who loved Metal in the Eighties will never forget.
Hello Everyone! Happy March 19 to everyone. Are you missing Lis yet? I sure am and I'll bet you are too. I am having so much fun doing her column I may not let her have it back! I'm just kidding! I am sure that as soon as she is well rested she will be back full force. Now lets get down to business.
Lets start in the year 1964 with the Beatles. They swapped number one singles when " she Loves You" Knocked "I Want To Hold Your Hand" out of the number one spot.
Moving on down the road in 1974 Another swap occured when the band Jefferson Airplane swapped names and Became Jefferson Starship. They also announced a new lineup which included:Paul Kantner, Grace Slick, Johnny Barbata on Drums, david Freeburg, Peter Kaukonen, Craig Chaquico, and Papa John Creach.
This Day in 1982 Rock N' Roll Suffered an incredibly tremendous loss. This happened when the airplane that was carrying Randy Rhoades crashed into a house while attempting to "buzz" the bus that Ozzy Osbourne was riding in. Randy was only 25 years young and will never be forgotten.
Backon to happier news. On this very day in 1982 "I Love Rock N' Roll" Hit number one on the US charts and did not budge for SEVEN weeks!
After learning that fact I will be singing that song for days! Time to wind down for today. until tommorw, Rock On! \m/
