This Day In Rock

Hello  friends and welcome to this thirsty Thursday edition of This Day In Rock. I don't know about where you live but here in Missouri it is a freezing 24 degrees this morning. I really can't complain since this will be the beginning of the first real cold spell this year. Speaking of spells, let me put you under mine and lets take that walk down musical memory lane.

On this day in 1955 "Mystery Train" and "I Forgot to Remember to Forget" The first releases By Elvis Presley are made public in an announcement by by His record company RCA.

In 1965 Rolling Stones Guitar player Keith Richards Is knocked out cold when he stepped on an electric guitar cable and got electrocuted. Amazingly after a break by the band he feels good enough to continue and finish the concert.

On this day in 1965 The Beatles begin what would be thier final British tour.

In 1966 Honolulu Hawaii was where the Monkees performed their first live concert.

NBC Television network was host to Elvis Presley's first live performance in seven years in the year 1968.

Well friends that is all fro today. Until Tomorrow......

PEACE!!!
