Hello Friends and welcome to this wacky Wednesday edition of This Day In Rock. As I have said before I live in the Midwest and today it is snowing....... again! Supposed to get up to a Blazing 34 degrees!! I need to move to Florida!Well lets get to business and take that walk down musical memory lane.

On this day in 1962 Brenda Lee was injured when she ran back into her burning home to try and save her dog. Unfortunately she was too late.

On this day in 1967 The Beatles Go #1 with "Hello Goodbye"


On this day in 1967 Peter Tork Paid $160,000 to buy himself out of his contract and Quit the Monkees.

On this day in 1970 Elvis Presley Got to tour The FBI Headquarters in Washington DC. While Taking the tour he requested that he be given a permit to carry a gun in all states. Being the King his request was granted!

On this day in 1978 Emerson, Lake & Palmer announce they are disbanding.

On this day in 1981 the Album "Freeze Frame" By The J Geils Band goes Gold.
