This Day In Rock

Hello friends and welcome to this post Christmas vacation edition Of This Day In Rock. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday! I sure enjoyed mine! Now lets take that walk down musical memory lane!

The song "Why" by Frankie Avalon Goes #1 Making it the last #1 song for the 50's era.

On this day in 1968 The Doors release "Touch Me". The song would quickly become a hit.

On this day in 1975 Ted Nugent gets a scare when a man in the audience points a gun at him. Fans quickly subdue the man and pin him to the ground until authorities arrive.

On this day in 1992 Paul Simon and wife Edie Brickell have a baby.

Sometimes people will buy anything if it was touched or used by their favorite musician. On this day in 2004 that point is proven when someone bought three tablespoons of water taken form a glass that Elvis Presley had drank from. How much you ask? Only $455.00! You can put that fact in the people will buy anything category!

Well Friends that is all for today Until tomorrow....

PEACE!!!
