On this day in 1958 "Sixteen Candles" Is released by The Crests.

On this day in 1968 "Love Child " by The Supremes was a number one hit.

Simon And Garfunkel's first television show hits the waves on this day in 1969.

"Hi Hi Hi" Is released by Paul McCartney & Wings in 1972. It would eventually go to the #10 position in the US but it would take nearly a year.

In 1974 "Best Of My Love" Is released by The Eagles. It would go on to be their first #1 single.

On this day in 1991 The Billboard Hot 100 started using radio airplay as a way of determining chart placement.

On this day in 2001 a legend passed on, George Harrison passed away while at a friends home in London. He was 58 years young. although he had been battling cancer it came as a shock to the world. he is still missed by many.Below is one of his later releases.
