This Day In Rock, Wednesday, November 11th
You've made it halfway through the week! So what has happened on November 11th in Rock History? Let's find out!

Happy Birthday first off to Vince Martell of Vanilla Fudge and Chris Dreja of the Yardbirds. Have some cake for me!

1957 Buddy Holly released "Peggy Sue."

Jim Morrison. The Poet, The Priest... He was busted this day in 1969 for causing trouble on an airplane. The charges were dropped. So misunderstood Jim was.

1970 John Lennon and Yoko Ono's record: "Plastic Ono Band" is released.

A band full of tragedy, The Allman Brothers Band lost Barry Oakley in 1972 in a motorcycle crash. One year earlier, Duane Allman was also killed in a motorcycle crash only a few blocks away.

"Rock And Roll Over" by KISS went GOLD in 1976, which featured the hit: "Calling Dr. Love." Sing it Gene!

The Smashing Pumpkins CD, "Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness," debuts at number one. Great CD. Buy it if you don't own it.

The Million Decibel March was lead by Metallica this day 1997.

My name is KIIIIIDDDD! Ok, Kid Rock released his self titled CD in 2003.
