This Day in Rock, Monday, November 9th
Happy Monday Rockers! Welcome to this day in rock November 9th!

1963 Louie Louie was released by The Kingsmen.

One of the most iconic magazines of all time: Rolling Stone was created by Jann Werner who was so angry by an unflatering review of The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, that he wrote his own review and published it. It all has to begin somewhere!

Ah, the 1970's! A great decade for music! Billy Joel released one of his best in my opinion: Piano Man on this day, 1973.  Fleetwood Mac who is one of my all time favorite bands album "Mystery To Me" goes gold this day 1976.

Nine Inch Nails "Pretty Hate Machine" is released. It only reached number 75 on Billboards 200. Surprised? I am considering it contains some of their most popular hits such as "Head Like a Hole," "Down In It," and "Terrible Lie,"

The always charitable, David Bowie, performs at the Keep A Child Alive organizations annual Black Ball fund raiser in New York in 2006.

Finally in 2008, Kid Rock wins the World's Best Pop Male Artist and Best Pop/Male Artist prizes at the World Music Awards. Not to be outdone, The Beatles also win a Diamond award for selling over 100 million albums worldwide. WOW!
