The Dave Rude Band
Every great guitarist needs a side project
You may know him as the new guitarist in Tesla. But, Dave Rude has been around much longer then that with his own band: The Dave Rude Band. If you don't believe the power of MySpace yet or that dreams do come true then listen to Dave's story.
When Tesla was in need of a new rhythm guitarist they put Frank Hannon, their lead guitarist, in charge of finding one. He found Dave...on MySpace. Frank contacted Dave. They met, talked, jammed and the rest as they say...is history. Now Dave is out with his own band's first EP!
When you first pop this cd in, you get that great classic sound that brings you back to the days of big collars and peace pipes. But when you hear the driving force of Dave's guitar riff and haunting vocals on Burnin Bright you begin to change your mind. Add to that the amazing bass line on Eighteen Eyes by bassist Marco Guzman and drummer Josh Schmidt showing his stuff on Hail To The Cheif, you come to only one conclusion...this is a great rock n roll band!
This six song EP rounds out with Heavy As A Raindrop (C'mon C'mon), Circle The Sun, and Crooked Bullseye. Once you hear it, you'll be wanting more!
The EP is availabe on their MySpace page. Check them out at www.myspace.com/daverudeband.
