Crowds of fans gathered to catch a glimpse of their idol. Tony Iommi is best known as the founder of Black Sabbath, THE band that gave birth to heavy metal. Iommi has long been considered a pioneer by his peers and Black Sabbath has won numerous awards. On November 2005 they were inducted into the United Kingdom's Music Hall of Fame and the following March were inductucted into New York's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

So, now it is only fitting that Birmingham honors Iommi, one of their own greatest masterpeices to come out of the UK, one of the greatest on their "Walk of Stars."
