If crazy is this good, then crazy is what I want

It’s been more than a decade
Kids growin’ up without rock n’ roll
Ain’t gonna be another second
It’s time to put it back on the wall.

These lines comes from one of my favorite songs, Crazy Lixx’s  “Do Or Die”. The song is featured on their “Loud Minority” album, and it’s one of my neighbors’ many torments. Whenever I hear it, I can’t help but dance around a bit in my apartment, while constantly touching the volume button, “Just a little bit more!”.

Crazy Lixx is one of those bands I just fell in love with the first time I heard them, I bought the album as soon as I could, and kept playing it over and over.

The first time I saw them live was at a cruise I went to, and as I stood there as close to the stage as I could get, they came out, and the ship just came to a different definition of rocking. Back then, Vic Zino (who later left to play with Hardcore Superstar) was playing guitars, Danny Rexon was singing, Joey Cirera was banging the drums and Luke Rivano took care of the bass. Together, they were the perfect mix to make my night one of the best ones yet.

Since Vic left, the band now has a young guitar player named Andy Dawson. I was pretty skeptical when I heard the news, but the next time I went to see them, I had to rethink everything. Andy is a perfect guitar player for Crazy Lixx, and from what I’ve been told, no one else could have beat him to the place. As soon as they’d heard him play, he was in.

Right now, they have their songs up for streaming at http://www.ubetoo.com/TopSongs.taf?_SongId=6651, and I really recommend that you go listen if you haven’t heard them yet. You can also catch them at www.crazylixx.com or http://www.myspace.com/crazylixxmusic.
