This Day InRock

Hello friends and welcome to This Day In Rock. It is Tuesday and if your Monday was anything like mine you are most likely happy today is here!! It is cold in my neck of the woods and if it's hot where you are please send me some of that heat! Enough small talk, let's take that walk down musical memory lane.

On this day in 1956 Buddy Holly and his band The Two Tones Wet To Decca Records in Nashville & began recording their first record.

On this day in 1963 The Four Seasons released the song "Walk Like A Man" It would soon be a #1 Hit for them.

In 1974 Ringo Starr revisited & Remade the 1960 Johnny Brunette hit "Your Sixteen" Ringo got help on this song from former band mate Paul McCartney.

On This day in 1980 Prince made his first TV appearance on American Bandstand.

On this day in 2007 Michael Jackson quietly returned to the United States after Living abroad for 2 years. He had left the country to escape the after effects of his highly publicized Child molestation trial.

Well friends that's all for today! Until tomorrow...

PEACE!!!
