The Billboard Hot 100 sees its first appearance by the Beatles on this day in 1964 with " I Wanna Hold Your Hand"
On this day In 1971 The Beatles were in Court to Dissolve their "Partnership". Ringo Testified that Paul "Behaved Like a spoiled child".
On This day in 1973 The One Place Country music is sacred was invaded by Rock & Roll. The Grand Ol' Opry in Nashville Tennessee Booked Jerry Lee Lewis because he agreed to ONLY play Country songs. He did Play Some country songs but soon grew tired of that and broke out into a medley of his 50's Rock hits while at the same time uttering every swear word in the Book. He told the audience "I am the rock and rollin', country and western, rhythm and blues singin' motherf***er." Hmmmm something tells me he was never invited back!
On this day in 1975 "Mandy" Goes #1 For Barry Manilow.
On this Day in 1996 Lisa Marie Presley Files For divorce from Michael Jackson.
