On this day in 1970 Residents surrounding the farm where Woodstock was held filed suit. They claimed
Max Yasgur owed them $35,000.00 in damages resulting from the concert.
On this day in 1974 Carly Simon & James Taylor welcome their second child into the world.
On this day in 1976 A record company executive named Kenneth Moss was sentenced to 120 days in jail then probation. It was for the accidental heroin Overdose death of Average White Band drummer Robbie McIntosh.
On this day in 1978 The soundtrack to The Disco hit movie "Saturday Night Fever" hit the music Bilboard charts where it would rise to the top & stay for a long time!

On this day In 1999 like many celebrity marriages Singer Rod Stewart and his Model wife Rachael Hunter separated after being married for 8 years.
