This Day In Rock

Hello friends and welcome to this wacky Wednesday edition of This Day In Rock. We are midway through the week and where i live it isn't snowing! Its almost hard to believe that at one point last week there was snow on the ground in every state except Hawaii. Lets take that walk down musical memory lane.

On this day in 1960 The Everly Brothers Sign with Warner Brother Records.

Elvis Presley's first album which is self titled goes Gold.

"Duke Of Earl" By Gene Chandler is #1 on this day in 1962

In this day in 1966 The Beach Boys begin recording "Good Vibrations"

On this day in 1972 Pink Floyd Played songs from his upcoming album. This practice would soon end because people taped and sold these concerts before the actual recordings were released.

The Eagles Release Their "Greatest Hits " album which became their biggest seller they would ever release AND one of the best selling records of all time!

Finally in 2008 Little Richard came to the Ryman auditorium to watch a concert featuring the Temptations and The Four tops. When little Richard was introduced he was given a standing ovation.

Well friends Thats all for today. Until Tomorrow...

PEACE!!!
