On this day in 1958 The song "Short Shorts" Hit the Billboard charts running. It would land in the #3 spot. the song was a last minute addition to the album only using leftover studio time.
On this day in 1959 Rock N' Roll suffered a dramatic blow which would eventually be labeled as "The Day The Music Died" . Three of the most prominent musicians of that time;Buddy Holly, the Big Bopper and Ritchie Valens lost thier lives when Thier Plane crashed near Clear Lake Iowa. eleven years Later Don McClean Wrote "American Pie" & released it.the song was inspired mostly from this tradgey.
On this day in 1968 the Beatles recorded thier soon to be hit "Lady Madonna".
On this day in 1978 The Made for TV Movie "Dead Mans Curve" premiered on tv. The movie was about Jan Berry's (of Jan & Dean) fight To Come back from A horriffic accident that nearly took his life.
On this day in 1992 Michael Jackson Holds a Press Conference to announce his upcoming world tour.
Entertainment for Super Bowl XXXVI in 2002 Included Barry Mannilow and Paul McCartney for Pre Show Entertainment and U2 performed the halftime show.
