Hello friends and welcome to this Tuesday edition of This Day In Rock. Now lets take that walk down musical memory lane.

On this day in 1958 "Chantilly Lace" The Big Bopper Makes its way onto the US pop charts.



In 1961 Caroline Hester invited her good friend Bob Dyan To play harmonica on her first album. Her producers were so impressed that they signed him to a recording contract.

On this day in 1973 "We're An American Band" By Grand Funk Railroad went to #1.


On this day in 1976 Jerry Lee Lewis Accidentally shot his Bass Player in the chest while attempting to shoot a bottle.

The Godfather Of Soul Had quite an awkward situation on his hands when he was left without a band when they walked offstage in Florida. They had claimed they had not been getting the pay they thought they deserved.

On this day in 1990 The band Nelson had a #1 hit with "Love and Affection".
