This Day In Rock

Hello friends and welcome to this manic Monday edition of This Day In Rock! Its getting cooler outside and fall is officially here. Some welcome it and others are wishing tha it would have held off just a littile bit longer! I am the second of the two!Enough chit chat, lets take that walk down musical memory lane.

In 1963 on American Bandstand The Ronettes performed "Be My Baby"

On this day in 1968 Hey Jude went #1. Paul had written the song for Johns son Jullian. It was #1 for 9 weeks.

In  1970 War got a gold record for "Spill The Wine"

In 1974 The song"Rock Me Gently" Became Andy Kim's only #1 hit in the US.

On this Day in 2000 Barbara Streisand performs what is billed as her "Farewell" concert at Madison Square Garden.

Wow Friends I don't know what it is about Mondays Being such a slow Music history day but this one tops the cake! Hopefully tomorrow will have a bit more to it. So until tomorrow.....

PEACE!!!!!
