Hello friends and welcome to This Day In Rock. It is thirsty Thursday so drink up & rock on! Lets take that walk down musical memory lane.

In 1966 The Association had a #1 with "Cherish" The song would remain in that position for almost a month.

 


"Eleanor Rigby" by The Beatles hits its highest spot at 11 also in 1966.

Ringo Starr releases his "Beaucoups of Blues" in 1970

On this day in1977 Memphis Tennessee was host to the first Elvis Presley convention.

The number one song in 1983 was "Tell Her About It" by Billy Joel.

On this Day in 1988 Georgia State police were led on a two hour two state chase by none other than James Brown.

"Don't Worry Be Happy" By Bobby McFerrin on  this day in1988.

On this day in 1994 the season Premiere of Saturday Night Live featured a performance by Eric Clapton.

On this Day in 1998 the Country Music Hall of Fame inducted Elvis Presley.
