Hello friends welcome to This Day In Rock. Lets take that walk down musical memory lane.

On this day in 1965 "Help!" gets a gold record as it races up the charts. On that same day they release the song Yesterday.

In 1968 the doors perform minus Jim Morrison after he collapsed during a earlier performance with Jefferson Airplane.

On this day in 1971 The Greatful Dead find their former manager and have him arrested for embezzlement.

On this day in 1978 George Harrison got married to a lady named Olivia Trinidad Arias. Olivia was the secretary for his record company.

On this day in 1980 Karen Carpenter marries Thomas Burris unfortunately they would separate a year later.

In 1989 "Cold Hearted" by Paula Abdul was number one on the billboard charts.

On this day Cleveland Ohio Opened its doors to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 1995
