Hello friends and welcome to This Day In Rock. Now that we have made it past Monday the rest of the week shall be a breeze! NO? well we can at least try can't we? Now let's take that walk down musical memory lane.

On this day in 1956 at the young age of 19 Jerry Lee Lewis arrived at sun Records to record his audition tapes.

On this day in 1965 the television show Shindig Featured James Brown. He performed "Papa's Got A Brand New Bag"

 

In 1967 Following the death of their manager Brian Epstein The Beatles meet at Paul's house and decide to handle their own business deals in the future.

Paul McCartney and Wings begins recording their "Band On The Run " album on this day in 1973.

On this day in 1977 The Group Blondie Signs their first major recording contract.

On this day in 1980 Fleetwood Mac Ends a Nine month tour at the Hollywood bowl. they told the audience; "This is our last show for a long time."
