Incubus Concert Review 8-21-09

WOW IS THE ONLY WORDS TO EXPLAIN THE SHOW FROM INCUBUS!!!

This was the best show of my summer tours that I've seen, and I've been to tons this summer! So the night started off very rainey and didn't want to sit on the lawn so I lucked out and got PIT tickets at the box office. So the show started late also due to the tornado warnings in the area but they weren't going to let weather issues stop the show! The opening band was named The Duke Spirit. I couldn't get into the band but the singer was talented and was an amazing girl frontwoman.

Incubus then hit the stage at 9:30 and they started the set with the hit "Pardon Me" which lifted the band to popularity and they were on fire! The crowd was loud during every song of the night and the set consisted of hits and the lesser known songs by the band. Brandon Boyd is an amazing singer live and in the studio, His voice is powerful and awesome! They would soon get into the song "Nice To Know You" which was another crowd favorite. The 21 song set including an acoustic set lasted an hour and 45 minutes. The acoustic set included popular songs "Drive","Dig", and "Make Yourself" and this was probably one of the best parts of the concert.

Later on in the show songs like "Are You In?","Oil & Water",and the lesser known song "Under My Umbrella" were the loudest receptions of the night for the band, But the most exciting song of the night was during "Wish You Were Here" and you know how during slower songs the fans start bringing out the lighters? Well during the song some guy handed out sparklers through out the pit and everyone started lighting them up! It was amazing and probably the best part on the show, you could tell the band were surprised but really happy. They then would play "Aqueous Transmission" before they left the stage but just to come back out for the 3 song encore. The encore included Japanese import song "Punch Drunk","Light Gernades" and a Prince Cover of "Lets Go Crazy"
