This Day In Rock

Hello Friends and welcome to this Tuesday edition of This Day In Rock. Lets Take that walk down musical memory lane.

On this day in 1962 The Rolling Stones Began Recording their first Demo tape.

"Come See About Me" is released by The Supremes in 1964. The song would be a #1 shortly thereafter.

Sonny & Cher were married on this day in 1964. Sadly as with most celebrity marriages the union would end 12 years later.

"Midnight Train To Georgia" By Gladys Knight & The Pips Was #1 on this day in 1973. A surprising fact is that although they had many hits, this was their only #1.

in 1979 while playing at Hollywood's Universal Amptheater Elton John collapsed. He was taken to the hospital and it was found he was suffering from exhaustion.

On this Day in 1980 Mark David Chapman Buys the gun that he murders John Lennon with only weeks later.

Well friends that is all for today. Until tomorrow....

PEACE!!!!
