Hello Friends and welcome to this hump-day edition of This Day In Rock. The work week is halfway over and I don't know about you but it has been crazy busy for me!!!! Now lets take that walk down musical memory lane!

On this day in 1956 Elvis Presley thought it would be a good idea to go see a movie. He soon discovered how wrong he was when he was mobbed by hundreds of screaming teenagers.

In 1957 Jail house Rock By Elvis Presley goes to the #1 spot.

 


On This day in 1962 Bob Dylan records his first album. Yes in ONE day!!!

On this day in 1965 The Kingsmen Perform "Louie Louie" on Shindig.

In 1972 "My Ding A Ling" became Chuck Berry's first #1

 


On this day in 1975 The Hollywood Walk Of fame awards Elton John a Star.

In 1976 Kieth Moon Drummer for  The Who, performed live for the final time before his fatal overdose.

On This day in 1992 Lisa Marie Presley gives birth to Elvis' grandson.
