ALTER BRIDGE TO RELEASE FIRST-EVER LIVE DVD ‘LIVE IN AMSTERDAM’
FANS ‘BEAT THE STREET’ TO THRUST STATE-OF-THE-ART CONCERT DVD TO #1 ON AMAZON TOP 100 MUSIC VIDEO CHART
Fans of power rockers ALTER BRIDGE rushed to “beat the street” online this week and make LIVE IN AMSTERDAM, the band’s first-ever live DVD -- and the first live concert DVD from DC3 Music Group - hit #1 in the top 100 “on the music Rock & Roll charts” on Amazon.com. For the second day in a row, LIVE IN AMSTERDAM tops Amazon’s Bestsellers in Music Videos & Concerts chart, ahead of video offerings from other music giants in the top 5 such as Michael Jackson and Bon Jovi. The title rocketed from #15,001 to #1 in a matter of eight hours yesterday (Thu.,Oct. 22), showing the incredibly true loyalty and love of Alter Bridge fans.

LIVE IN AMSTERDAM includes every key Alter Bridge track, including “Metalingus,” “Watch Over You,” “Broken Wings,” “Rise Today,” “Open Your Eyes” and many more. The documentary captures Alter Bridge through fan interviews, band interviews and behind-the-scenes footage throughout its Fall 2008 European tour, from Milan to London to Amsterdam.
"The tour we did in Europe and the UK late last year turned out to be a really amazing experience,” says lead singer Myles Kennedy. “I feel like the Live in Amsterdam DVD really captures all of that and more. Everyone at DC3 did a great job documenting the magic of that evening."
Directed by Daniel E. Catullo III (Rush, Nickelback, Smashing Pumpkins, Godsmack) and produced by Catullo, Lionel Pasamonte, and Peter Bowers, the 24-camera, state-of-the-art high definition shoot was filmed in front of a fanatical audience of 8,000 Dutch fans as the band gave the performance of a lifetime, captured in pristine audio visual perfection, in 5.1 Surround Sound, at Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam. The concert audio was mixed by Andy Johns (The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin). The Deluxe Edition of the DVD is set to include a second bonus disc of content shot specifically for this release, plus a 60-minute documentary and photo gallery, and 24-page souvenir booklet.
