While on tour with Nickelback I had the chance to sit down with Tony Palermo of Papa Roach. While Papa Roach is not a new band, Tony is their newest member. He took over the reigns for departing member, Dave Buckner. Papa Roach has the reputation as one of the best live bands on the road and it is a well deserved praise. They give 110% of themselves. I wanted to know how Tony felt coming into such an amazing act, more about the newest album, Metamorphosis, and more about Tony himself.

Hinder's current album, "Take It To the Limit," debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200. I sat down with the group while on the North American leg of Nickelback's Dark Horse Tour, which featured Nickelback, Papa Roach and Saving Abel. Thier newest single is  "Loaded and Alone." They were truly awesome in concert. Austin is an amazing frontman and they all looked like they were enjoying themselves on stage. Scott and Eric from Saving Abel were nice enough to chat with me backstage while on tour with Nickelback. They are now headlining the "Class of 2009" tour along with with Red, Pop Evil and Taddy Porter. The tour will get underway on October 27th in San Antonio, TX and continue until the end of the year. The band’s debut singles” Addicted,” “18 Days,” and “Drowning (Face Down)” have delivered a massive fan base for the Corinth, MS. quintet. Saving Abel’s biggest hit “Addicted,” was a #1 rock hit, crossed over to peak at #7 on Billboard’s Top 40 Airplay Chart and also sold over a million downloads. They are a force to be reckoned with and yet they are very down to earth and humble guys. Check out the interview, get the album and get out and see them in concert...you'll love them!

One band is kicking up a storm in and around the USA. Vains of Jenna originally from Sweden are back with their sophomore studio album “The Art of Telling Lies”. The band currently has a hit single ‘Get it On’ and are on the road this fall across the US with LA based rock band Dirty Penny. The new album was just released this September and is doing exceedingly well. Road Crew mag was very fortunate enough to contact drummer Jacki Stone via email to answer some questions about the new cd and his personal influences and more.

Road Crew: The new album, ‘Art of Telling Lies’ has just been released and it does appear to being doing well, please tell us more. How does it feel to be out with a new album?  What does the new album offer?

JACKI: Yes it was released on Itunes in September.Many cd's have already been sent out all over the world, it feels great!
"The Art Of Telling Lies" is filled with great rock n roll with a sweet touch of pop, funk and much more.
It feels great to have a new album out... it's been 3 years since the last one, so it is definitely time to get something fresh out there. This album, I would say, have songs that whoever in the world can relate to and dig, whatever age or what kind of music you usually listen to. I am very
happy with the result of this album!!! We had a great producer that we worked with too... His name is Brent Woods.

Road Crew: Almost a year ago, the band went to its homeland of Sweden, how was it  to be back? And playing at the Sweden Rock Festival?
Did the band find any inspiration for the new album being back in Sweden? How so?

JACKI: We hadn't been in Europe for 2 years and it was cool coming back
there. We had no idea what to expect when we started playing around in
Europe... Mind you that we only did about 20 shows in Europe before we
headed over to the States in 2006... But it was great! Did many cool shows
in Sweden, Italy, UK, Scotland and Denmark, touring with bands like
Crucified Barbara and Viking Skull.
Sweden Rock Festival was amazing. A dream coming true to play there for
sure. That was the last show in Sweden/ Europe before we came back here in
Los Angeles so it was very much a great "goodbye" (for a little while) to
our European fans!
The album was already recorded and done when we went back to Sweden... But
for new material it will probably be inspired by the homecoming.

Road Crew: The band is currently on tour across the US with Dirty Penny, how did the two bands meet up and decide on this?  

JACKI: We have been friends and crossed paths on the road before playing
shows together here and there. Both bands have new CD's out and we are all
hungry and ready to hit the road. So it kinda came naturally for us to get
together and plan a tour. I'm very excited that it will happen!

Road Crew: Theres a cover song of Tom Pettys ‘Refugee’ on the new CD, which isn't just like any cover it does have the VOJ unique sound and feel on it,  how and whose idea was it for it be included?

JACKI: We've played that one for a while... actually since the Poison/Ratt
tour in 2007. That is probably why we have a good VOJ feel to it. It just
felt nice to have that one on the CD... A great song.

Road Crew:The band has a very colourful image that appears to be influenced by the 80s where you rarely see it these days (in comparison to some of the mainstream bands) in the US, do you think that ever hinders the band being taken seriously?

JACKI: I don't think that we are treated unfair or not being taken
seriously because the way we look... Our music and performances has it's
own life and kicks everyone's ass when they see us! And I feel that we are
respected in and around the music industry.

Road Crew: How and what did age did you get into drumming? Who’s your favourite
 drummer ever?

JACKI: I borrowed my uncles drum kit for a summer back in -97. I was 11.
Then, me and Nicki started our "real" first band when I was 13. And since
then I've been hooked on the drums!
I don't know what I would do if I didn't have my drums... I play everyday,
many times for hours, by myself and with the band. If i don't play for a
day I don't feel good, hehe.
Hmm... There are so many good drummers out there, but one of my favorite
drummers ever is Dave Grohl.
I get inspired by many different drummers... one of my favorites right now
is Dominic Howard from MUSE.

Road Crew: What artists/bands have been your constant inspiration in making music? What kinda songs would we find on your playlist?

JACKI: Wow... so many... Queen, Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, The Who, GnR, Ozzy
etc. etc. This is a question that I can give an answer that will go on
forever, so i just shorted it down and gave you a handful of bands that
inspired me, hehe.
On my playlist would probably be some Pantera, MUSE, Metallica, Pink
Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, Avenged Sevenfold... The list goes on and on.

Road Crew: You have had the chance to meet up and even share the stage with members of bands that have influenced the band and you personally, how has that been?
Any others artists/bands you would love to tour/work with?

JACKI: We've been very lucky to play with such great bands! It's
amazing!!! It's something we've dreamed of...
I would love to go on tour with The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Buckcherry,
Papa Roach, KISS and many more! We are aiming for the top and work really
fuckin hard to achieve it too!!! Hours and hours in the rehearsal, working
on the computer and being out there kickin ass at every show!
So to get to the top and tour and work with bands like that... You gotta
give this 200%!

Road Crew: What is the creative process like when making a song especially for
 you?

JACKI: I usually have something that comes back in my head over and
over... like an idea for a melody, drum part or guitar riff... Then I just
try it out. Lyrics and songs comes from so many different ways... It can
be something that is going on in your life, sometimes just stuff that you
feel... that's whats coming out on a piece of paper or in your hands with
a instrument in your hand.

Road Crew: Any songs from the new album that are personal to you or are your
 personal favourite?

JACKI: Hmm.... Nicki Kin [guitarist] and Lizzy DeVine [lead singer] wrote most part of the songs on the album and did a hell of a good job! My favorite to play right now is "I Don't
Care" or "The Art Of Telling Lies".

Road Crew: How is it being in a band with your brother JP White?

JACKI: It is fuckin awesome!!! We have a great chemistry on and off stage.
He's great to work with and we understand each other so good that I can
never even think about not having him in the band!

Road Crew: What has been your ONE greatest experience in being with VOJ?

JACKI: I don't have just ONE actually... many great things have happen...
and more will come!
Whats one thing about the band or you, that would surprise fans?
JACKI: Ohh I don't know... haha.

Road Crew:  Thank you for the interview, I personally wish you and the band the best of success, hope the tour goes well. Any final words to all your fans?

JACKI: Thank you very much!!! Thanks to all our fans all over the world!

Fresh from the stage, on the last day of the tour the talented band SHRAM ~ encompassing Brian Schram {singer/guitar}, Dave Dion {bass} and Jason Hartless{drums}, were kind enough to chat with us. After finally securing the bus of another band~due to Shram having their own vehicle issues a few days earlier, they were left without it~ we got right to talking about what it was like having just spent the summer touring in support of their latest release, Shut Up and Push Play, on the Monster Stage for Crue Fest 2.

One of the most amazing parts of this band is the fact that drummer, Jason, is only 14years old and this is not his first tour nor his first disc.

Just as you can be sure that the snow will continue to fall on the Rockies, you can be just as sure that you will find molten hot bands coming out of Colorado. If you haven't heard of them already, allow me to introduce you to Jag Panzer, a scorching metal band hot enough to melt the snow right off the mountains, and their guitarist/songwriter Mark Briody. Mark was kind enough to take the time to answer some questions for Road Crew Mag about himself, the band, and even played a little word association.

Road Crew: When did you first pick up a guitar?

Mark: When I just turned 15. I thought it would be a good way to meet girls.

Road Crew: What drove you to want to become a guitar player?

Mark: To meet girls! Seriously. I also thought it looked fun. But mainly it was to meet girls.

Road Crew: How would you describe yourself as a guitarist?

Mark: I'm really much more of a songwriter then a guitarist. I play guitar just as a vehicle for my songwriting. I'm not that skilled of a guitarist. There are probably 50 guys in my neighborhood with better chops.

Road Crew: How long have you played and used Dean guitars and how did you become associated with them?

Mark: I started playing Deans years ago when I was a kid. I bought my first Dean in high school. But the company Dean went through a lot of changes and I eventually started playing other guitars. But in the late 90's a new owner took over Dean Guitars and brought them back to their former glory. I ended up buying a new Dean in 2003 and I fell in love with the brand again. I officially became an endorser in 2005.

Road Crew: How did the band come up with the name Jag Panzer?

Mark: We used to be called 'Tyrant' but we found out there were a few other bands with that name. We hit the library to look for a new name. We saw a book with a heavy looking tank in it. The tank was called 'Jagdpanzer'. We couldn't pronounce it so we dropped the 'd' and made it 2 words.

Road Crew: I understand you are the primary songwriter for the band. What musicians influence your writing?

Mark: Tony Iommi and Ritchie Blackmore are my main influences. Steve Harris also. I suppose you could add Judas Priest as well. Basically any good metal. Outside of metal, I think the Beatles are an influence for any songwriter.

Road Crew: I am curious about knowing more about the CD "Thane to the Throne". What inspired you as a band to write an album based on Shakespeare's "Hamlet"?

Mark: It's actually based on MacBeth, not Hamlet. We picked that story because it's filled with elements that lend themselves to heavy metal. It's such a dark play, filled with drama and intrigue, perfect for heavy metal.

Road Crew: What can you tell us about the new album that you're working on?

Mark: It's called 'The Scourge of the Light' and it's almost complete. This is our first album with new lead guitarist Christian Lasegue. It's turning out pretty well. I hesitate to try to describe it because musicians always use the same adjectives to describe their new albums. They also say 'it's heavier' and things like that. I prefer to let people judge for themselves. I will say that I'm very pleased with it so far.

Road Crew: What are your hobbies outside of music?

Mark:  I love scuba diving, but I haven't been for a few years.  Otherwise I just like relaxing at home with my family and watching movies.  I enjoy watching football and having the occasional beer.

Road Crew: Are you a reader? And if so, what books and authors are you into?

Mark: I'm actually not a reader at all. I just don't have the time. The last book I read was 'Interview with the Vampire'. I didn't like it at all.

Road Crew: This is the first time that I have tried something like this in an interview, so I hope you don't mind being the first to try it. While working on questions, the idea to play a word association game came to my mind. Some of the words are music related while others are just random things. After each, please type the first thing that comes to your mind after reading each word.

Guitar

Mark: Dean guitars, my Soltero. I love my guitar. I play it every day, it's like an extension of me.

Road Crew: Football

Mark: The mighty Minnesota Vikings! I just watched them beat the Packers on Monday Night Football. I am a Vikings fanatic!!

Road Crew: Music

Mark: Life. Seriously. I can't imagine living without music. Music is like breathing to me, it's vital.

Road Crew: Food

Mark: Pizza. I love pizza. I'd eat one every day if I could.

Road Crew: Computer

Mark: Pain in the ass. I've got several computers and they are vital to communications, recording, etc. But they are so finicky. I'm not a big fan of computers at the moment.

Road Crew: Fans

Mark: Everyone is a fan of something. I'm a fan of the Vikings. I'm lucky that there are fans of my music. And 'lucky' really is a key here. I hate when musicians take their fans for granted.

Road Crew: Snow

Mark: I love snow. Sledding is awesome! I've been a fan of sledding since I was a kid. I could never live in a tropical locale. I love snow.

Road Crew: Holidays

Mark: Holidays are nice. They're a nice change of pace and good for getting together with extended family.

Road Crew: Touring

Mark: Awesome! I love touring. Seeing new places and meeting new people is great. Touring in an adventure.

Road Crew: Clown

Mark: Horror films are the first thing that comes to mind. The notion of a clown being scary has completed dominated the world of film and literature. They weren't scary when I was a kid, but now I (and I think lots of other people) associate them with horror.

Well it's about damn time! Axl Rose and company are finally hitting the road in support of the long awaited Chinese Democracy album. The band has been rumored to be touring for some time now and a lot of reports of the band touring Southern Asia has been popping up lately. Now the band has finally confirmed dates for Early Winter 2010 in Canada and soon to have more tour dates for the U.S.

It will be a year on November 23rd since Chinese Democracy has been in stores and the band is finally going on tour for the album in winter 2010. What is going through everyone's mind is "What took so long?" Well multiple rumors are based around Axl having some sort of freak out or that Axl never showed up to rehearsals and the whole tour was cancelled. Now here we are, almost a year later and the band is finally announcing tour dates for the "Chinese Democracy" tour. The band is supposedly hitting Korea in December and then will embark on an Canadian Tour in Janurary and February in 2010.

The album has since gone platinum without any promotion or touring done behind the album and you can only find the album at best buy stores only. This album has been in production and recording since 1994 and finally came out in 2008.

The album that all have been waiting for, HELLBILLY DELUXE 2 on Geffen Records will hit the street November 17^th at a store near you! The first single WHAT? takes over the airwaves in the next week unleashing the monster Zombie has created.   This latest masterpiece is the follow-up of his super smash triple platinum HELLBILLY DELUXE in 1998.

After 15 years of being off the map and coming back with a new album and with a new singer, Alice In Chains is back with their new album "Black Gives Way To Blue." Since original singer Layne Staley died back in 2002 the band was looking at the end of their careers until in 2006 the band found singer William Duvall to take over vocals.

The album starts off with that signature sound they have on the opening song "All Secrets Know" and after just hearing this song you know the band we all knew is back! Then we get into the number one song on the rock radio stations and billboard rock charts "Check My Brain" another signature sound for the band. "Last Of My Kind" is a little different from the rest of these songs, it has the sound but no harmonized vocals your used to hearing from both Duvall and Guitarist Jerry Cantrell. Either way it's a rockin track and one of my favorites from this album. The acoustic tracks are also classic Alice In Chains "Your Decision", "When The Sun Rose Again", and the most emotional track "Black Gives Way To Blue" which is also a tribute to Layne Staley and has piano from Elton John on it. This album is all killer and no filler at all!

I would suggest everyone buy this album at once if you've been a fan of Alice In Chains. You have your acoustic songs "Your Decision", Your Dark songs "Private Hell" which is the best song on this album to me, and you have the heavy hypnotic songs "Check My Brain". The band just finished up two performances on Jimmy Kimmel Live and you can check them out here. The band is doing shows around the United States and should be hitting up the UK soon.

Check My Brain is #1 on the rock radios right now! The band is projected to hit the top 5 on the billboard charts and to sell an estimated 130,000 its first week!

Los Angeles based band, Hydrovibe have released their debut album, Nothing Left To Lose, after nearly 3 years in the making. The band came back from a long stretch on the road and decided to re-record the entire disc with the new attitude that the songs had developed while playing them live. Irrefutably a good move, even if it meant pushing back the release date a bit. Each one of the 15 tracks takes on a life of its own and yet when listened to, in its entirety, it is a smooth transition.  The first single off the album is 'Fame' .

Hydrovibe is comprised of founding members and  Louisiana natives, vocalist Heather St. Marie and guitarist/vocalist Mat Dauzat, in addition to bassist Eliot Lorango and drummer Philippe Mathys. St. Marie has a deep throaty voice as opposed to a higher pitched scream as one would expect from a female singer. Heavy grooves, great riffs, deep lyrics. All things that make for a epic rock album.

No virgin to working with big names, Dauzat, was Kelly Osbourne's guitarist on her SHUT UP disc - hand picked by Sharon Osbourne. Hydrovibe has also shared stages with the likes of Static-X, Drowning Pool, Powerman 5000, Black Stone Cherry, Soil, (Hed) P.E., Taproot, Soulfly, Trust Company, etc. A song of thier's can also be found on the SAW III soundtrack, 'Killer Inside (feat.Shawnee Smith )'

Overall this is an stupendous disc...from an equally stunning band.

"Midnight Train To Georgia" By Gladys Knight & The Pips Was #1 on this day in 1973. A surprising fact is that although they had many hits, this was their only #1.

in 1979 while playing at Hollywood's Universal Amptheater Elton John collapsed. He was taken to the hospital and it was found he was suffering from exhaustion.

On this Day in 1980 Mark David Chapman Buys the gun that he murders John Lennon with only weeks later.

L.A. buzz band Nico Vega is currently on a headlining tour, including a homecoming Halloween show at Club Nokia with rockers Chevelle, before jumping on tour with Inward Eye, and Neon Trees.

As the trio’s latest single “Gravity” is taking off on alternative radio, the group will be filming the song’s video in November.

The band (singer Aja Volkman, guitarist Rich Koehler and drummer Dan Epand) has made a name for itself thanks in part to its blistering and in-your-face live show highlighted by dynamic frontwoman Aja Volkman’s volatile stage presence. Filter described the band as "a musical, mythical beast” while 944 Magazine heralded them as a "brutal love triangle of rock, funk and blues" and congratulated the trio for its "wide musical scope, which stretches from stomach-scraping soul to unrelenting rage." The NY Post called Aja "insanely spirited," comparing her to Janis Joplin and Karen O.

Having worked with producers Linda Perry (Pink, Gwen Stefani) and Tim Edgar (Earl Greyhound), and mixer Tchad Blake (Pearl Jam, Elvis Costello, Peter Gabriel), Nico Vega channels a classic swagger a la Led Zeppelin and adds soaring, soulful vocals somewhere between Fiona Apple and PJ Harvey.

Over the summer the band’s song “Beast” was featured in the horror film The Collector and now Aja is preparing to leap headfirst onto the silver screen herself, making her acting debut co-starring in the upcoming Dane Cook movie Answers To Nothing where her shockingly gritty scenes will definitely not be forgotten anytime soon. Aja will play Tara, the mistress who is also a musician, and Nico Vega will sport cameos in the movie.

When it wraps up this week, the U2 360 Tour will have played to over 3 million fans in just 44 cities. With record shattering sales including the largest attendance at the Rose Bowl this evening as well as setting the all time record at New York's Giant Stadium where the audience surpassed that of the Pope - the largest rock and roll touring production ever has just confirmed the return to North America beginning June 6th at Anaheim's Angel Stadium. Having performed in a limited number of North American cities in 2009, U2 360 is set to touch down in a new set of stadiums next summer including stops in Anaheim; Denver; Oakland; Seattle; Edmonton; East Lansing; Miami; Philadelphia and Montreal. Due to overwhelming demand, U2 360 will also return for one night only in Toronto and Chicago before finishing the North American leg in New York at the New Meadowlands Stadium.

Multi-platinum Flawless/Geffen recording artist, Puddle Of Mudd, releases their fourth studio set, VOLUME 4: SONGS IN THE KEY OF LOVE & HATE, on December 8. The album follows the phenomenal success of POM's third release, 2007's Famous. Famous proved the band's consistency to deliver to not only their fans, but on all business platforms. One single off of Famous, "Psycho," earned Billboard Magazine's highest honors - #1 Mainstream Rock Song of the Year, #4 Hot Modern Rock Song of the Year, as well as Mainstream Rock #2 Artist of 2008. Radio and Records posted "Psycho" as the #1 Rock Song of 2008, #2 Active Rock Song of the Year, and POM earned their Number 3 status for Rock Artist of the Year.

Recording Volume 4 in Vancouver & Los Angeles, Puddle Of Mudd (POM) smartly re-enlisted the talents of Brian Howes, who produced the aforementioned Famous and John Kurzweg, who produced 2001's album, Come Clean. "Even though we hate messing with success, we felt adding newcomer Brain Virtue to the producer mix would be a welcome change," say frontman Wes Scantlin. "What we got is 10 tracks of exactly what we were looking for," adds Scantlin.

In addition to singer/guitarist Wes Scantlin, bassist Douglas Ardito, drummer Ryan Yerdon and the return of guitarist Paul Phillips on guitars round out the POM line-up. The band's 2001 debut album Come Clean generated four #1 alternative and rock radio hit singles ("Blurry," "She Hates Me," "Control" and "Drift And Die"), with "Blurry" becoming the most played track on Modern Rock Radio for 2002 and scooping the ASCAP award for most played song of the year. 2003 saw the release of their follow up Life On Display, which featured the top 5 radio hit "Away From Me" and the top 10 hit "Heel Over Head."

The first single from Volume 4, "Spaceship," will be available to fans October 27th on Amazon.com and iTunes. As if it wasn't enough to have the biggest movie of the year hitting theaters next month, Jackson Rathbone is adding a music festival to his to-do list. Rathbone, star of New Moon (the second installment in the Twilight series), and some of his fellow cast members will be hosting the NewCon Festival in Nashville, Tennessee, November 6-8.

Jackson's band, 100 Monkeys, will be headlining the festival, which aims to inspire people to get more involved in the arts. The weekend includes Twilight- and New Moon-inspired art competitions as well as poetry and fan fiction contests. 100 Monkeys will also be part of an open jam session on Saturday, November 7. Anyone attending the festival can bring their instrument to jam with the band for two hours. The band will pick one lucky fan to join them on stage Saturday night during their concert at The Wildhorse in downtown Nashville.

"We wanted to do something different that inspires people to be creative," said Rathbone. "NewCon offers all kinds opportunities for people - whether they're writers, musicians, or artists - to share their talents in an interactive way that's fun."

Award winning artist Kelly Garrett Rathbone (Jackson's sister), will be one of the judges at the art competition and a panelist during Q&A sessions over the weekend. She currently has pieces on exhibit in galleries nationwide. The winners of the writing and art contests will get a private meet & greet with all attending New Moon cast members and have their winning pieces signed by them, as well.

100 Monkeys will also host a t-shirt design contest during the festival. The winning shirt will get printed as a limited edition and sold on the band's website, with all of the money going to the Spencer Bell Legacy Project. Hailing from the highlands of Scotland, Nazareth began as a four-piece band in the late 1960s. The Anthology (AM&/UMe), released, October 20, 2009, collects the highlights and collectibles from Nazareth's earliest days through their evolution, lasting well into their 40th anniversary of recording, all on 38 tracks in this 2-CD set.

Best-known for creating several solid classic-rock staples, they found pop chart success in the U.S. by taking the opposite approach with a timeless ballad. "Love Hurts" was a runaway success for the group. A cover version of an Everly Brothers' early 1960 recording, more than a decade later Nazareth hit the Top 10 and remained on the charts for 23 weeks. The box-set represents a publishing first and offers the discerning collector with an investment opportunity which can be enjoyed for many years to come.

Unlike most bands of their stature, Oasis seemed to burst onto the music scene 'fully formed'. This, of course was partly due to their innate understanding of the history of rock and their own place within it. It was also due to the public image that was projected by the pictures of the band, which adorned their first single, and album releases…pictures, which were created by Michael Spencer Jones.
In a five year journey which began with a photo-shoot of an unknown band at Manchester's Out of the Blue studios in 1993, Michael Spencer Jones worked closely with Oasis to create a series of enduring images which adorned the bands first three albums and their accompanying singles.

Appearing in a strictly limited edition of 250 copies worldwide, Out of the Blue brings together for the first time an important collection of extraordinary photographs of one of England's finest ever bands during what is often referred to as their 'golden years'.

The portfolio comprises 10 signed original limited edition photographs of Oasis' iconic sleeve artwork. They include their first 3 album covers, Definitely Maybe, (What's the Story) Morning Glory? and Be Here Now; together with 7 of their single covers, Supersonic, Shaker Maker, Cigarettes & Alcohol, Whatever, Roll With It, Wonderwall and Don't Look Back In Anger. All the photographs have been printed onto crystal archive paper using the original camera negative, and are of stunning quality. Furthermore, all the photographs have been individually mounted within museum acid-free window mounts, and all have been individually signed and numbered by Michael Spencer Jones.

Michael Spencer Jones had unprecedented access to Oasis; backstage, in the studio, in concert, and off duty. The photos featured in the book, the majority of which have never been seen before, have been carefully selected from Michael's vast Oasis archive of over 8,000 images. An illuminating 12,500 word text written by Michael of his experiences with the band also accompanies the book.

The 198 page large format book is only available as part of this portfolio box set and is strictly limited to 250 copies worldwide. Each book is individually signed and numbered by Michael Spencer Jones, hand-bound in quarter leather and printed on 200gsm acid free matt art paper with silver gilt edges. The book has been printed and bound by Grafiche Milani of Italy, one of the world's leading makers of fine limited edition books. All images in the book have been spot varnished and have been printed using the finest offset printing technology. The book has been beautifully designed by Wherefore Art? who designed the multi million selling The Beatles Anthology and many other fine books.

To maintain the integrity of the edition the plates used to produce the book were destroyed after production ensuring the books investment potential.

The book reveals not only a deep insight into Oasis, the making of these great covers and the shoots surrounding them but also into the mind, art and surreal world of Michael's photography

In order to accommodate and protect both prints and book for posterity, a beautiful and stylish bespoke case has been designed. Handmade by craftsmen, the portfolio case is made from durable and hard wearing Pellaq and luxuriously lined with silsuede. The book is housed in its own 'secret' recess beneath the limited edition photographs.

The Photographs
The image size is approx. 28 x 28cm, the mount size is approx. 38.5 x 39.5 cm. Each limited edition photograph is housed within its own archival acid-free museum mount and is personally numbered and signed by Michael Spencer Jones and is further authenticated by his photographer's seal. They have been printed on crystal archive paperusing the original camera negative or transparency. These are limited edition are first generation photographs, not inkjets.

The Book
The book contains 198 pages of full colour including pages of trace and acetate. Each copy is ¼ bound in leather with silver foil blocking on the front and spine and has silver edged gilt pages. It weighs 1.9 kilos and has been printed on 200 gsm acid free matt art paper with spot varnishing to each image. Each book has been individually numbered and personally signed by Michael Spencer Jones.

The Portfolio Box
The box measures 42 x 40 x 8cm and has been hand-made by craftsmen in durable dark blue pellaq. It is lined with dark blue silsuede with in its own silsuede recess to house the limited edition book.

Bon Jovi will be the very first artist ever to appear across the many brands of NBC Universal in a unique "Artists in Residence" partnership. In the exclusive agreement, Bon Jovi's music/appearances/performances will be widely seen and heard across the multiple brands and platforms of NBC Universal. The announcement was made by Jeff Gaspin, Chairman, NBC Universal Television Entertainment.

The "Artists in Residence" project coincides with the November 10th launch of the band's new studio album, The Circle.

The project offers a unique opportunity for NBCU to work with Jon Bon Jovi and the members of the band, through interviews, musical guest appearances, and guest-starring roles, to provide exclusive and compelling content across the company's many brands -- its news and cable information platforms, its cable entertainment, its broadcast network and digital assets -- and allow the band the opportunity to promote The Circle to a broad, diverse audience that can not be matched in the industry.

"By assembling a unique mix of personal appearances on a variety of its brands, NBC Universal has the ability to offer Bon Jovi the opportunity to reach a wide audience in a variety of compelling ways, while at the same time making interesting, exclusive content available to the properties of NBCU," said Gaspin.

As part of the "Artists in Residence" program, Bon Jovi has confirmed appearances on a number of NBCU platforms including the special "Bon Jovi Month" on the "Today" show in November during which they will appear live on the program on all four Wednesdays that month, capped off with a special concert performance on the plaza on Wednesday, November 25th.

Additionally, Bon Jovi will appear on several NBC Entertainment programs and be the featured guest on Bravo's "Inside the Actors' Studio." Jon Bon Jovi will be the subject of a "USA Character Showcase," which will highlight Jon as both an artist and philanthropist in an on-air and on-line campaign. He will be a featured panelist at a USA Network and Tom Brokaw-sponsored "Characters Unite National Town Hall," about overcoming social injustices, in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, December 2. Jon will also be featured on NBC's Nightly News with Brian Williams, as well as in the company's award-winning public service campaign "The More You Know" with spots running on NBCU's cable and broadcast networks. The band's music will also be heavily integrated throughout NBC's network and cable programming.

Bon Jovi will be the very first artist ever to appear across the many brands of NBC Universal in a unique "Artists in Residence" partnership. In the exclusive agreement, Bon Jovi's music/appearances/performances will be widely seen and heard across the multiple brands and platforms of NBC Universal. The announcement was made by Jeff Gaspin, Chairman, NBC Universal Television Entertainment.

The "Artists in Residence" project coincides with the November 10th launch of the band's new studio album, The Circle.

The project offers a unique opportunity for NBCU to work with Jon Bon Jovi and the members of the band, through interviews, musical guest appearances, and guest-starring roles, to provide exclusive and compelling content across the company's many brands -- its news and cable information platforms, its cable entertainment, its broadcast network and digital assets -- and allow the band the opportunity to promote The Circle to a broad, diverse audience that can not be matched in the industry.

"By assembling a unique mix of personal appearances on a variety of its brands, NBC Universal has the ability to offer Bon Jovi the opportunity to reach a wide audience in a variety of compelling ways, while at the same time making interesting, exclusive content available to the properties of NBCU," said Gaspin.

As part of the "Artists in Residence" program, Bon Jovi has confirmed appearances on a number of NBCU platforms including the special "Bon Jovi Month" on the "Today" show in November during which they will appear live on the program on all four Wednesdays that month, capped off with a special concert performance on the plaza on Wednesday, November 25th.

Additionally, Bon Jovi will appear on several NBC Entertainment programs and be the featured guest on Bravo's "Inside the Actors' Studio." Jon Bon Jovi will be the subject of a "USA Character Showcase," which will highlight Jon as both an artist and philanthropist in an on-air and on-line campaign. Legendary saxophonist Clarence Clemons and special celebrity guests will celebrate the publishing of Clemons' new memoir, BIG MAN: Real Life & Tall Tales. Clemons will be relaying entertaining anecdotes from the book, co-authored by celebrated TV producer, writer and Big Man's best friend Don Reo with a foreward by Bruce Springsteen, as well as answering questions, mingling with party guests and autographing copies.

We all know them - Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band, but what exactly are the stories behind this amazing rock sensation that took the nation by storm and reinvigorated what it meant to be American? Who is the giant, the "Big Man" that commanded the stage with as much ease as he did power?

Adam Lambert, the "American Idol" star, performs "Time for Miracles," the theme song from Columbia Pictures' 2012, the new action film from Roland Emmerich. Viewers can catch a tease of the song at AOL Moviefone, where a music teaser with footage from the film and Lambert recording the song.

2012 will be released in theaters nationwide on November 13, 2009.

Lambert said, "'Time for Miracles' is a great song and perfectly fits the themes of the movie. I was thrilled to record this song for 2012 and I'm glad I had the chance to help create a unique sound for this movie."

The song was produced by Rob Cavallo and written by Natasha Shneider and Alain Johannes Moschulski. The song was mixed by Chris Lord-Alge. The song will be included on the 2012 soundtrack distributed by RCA Records, due in stores November 10.

Never before has a date in history been so significant to so many cultures, so many religions, scientists, and governments. 2012 is an epic adventure about a global cataclysm that brings an end to the world and tells of the heroic struggle of the survivors. ADAM LAMBERT rose to fame during the eighth season of "American Idol," in which he was the runner-up. After impressing the judges with his performances of such songs as "Mad World," "Ring of Fire," "Whole Lotta Love," and "The Tracks of My Tears," Lambert's experience culminated in performing "We Are the Champions" on stage with Queen. Since then, several of his songs have charted on the Hot 100 and Hot Digital Songs charts.

On November 24, Deutsche Grammophon will release a special, live concert performance on DVD entitled, "Sting: A Winter's Night...Live from Durham Cathedral." Filmed at the magnificent Durham Cathedral near Sting's hometown of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in Northern England, the DVD features music off his forthcoming album, "If On A Winter's Night..." in-stores, October 27.

Recorded in HD and produced by Universal Music Classical Management & Productions (UMCMP), in association with Thirteen for WNET.ORG, the program will premiere on PBS's Great Performances series on Thanksgiving night, Thursday, November 26 at 9 p.m. EST (checking local listings). International broadcasts are planned for later this year, with further air dates to be announced locally in each country.

"Sting: A Winter's Night...Live from Durham Cathedral" captures the artist in the unique setting of England's most famous cathedral. Standing on a peninsula overlooking the River Wear in Durham, the one thousand year old UNESCO world heritage building is one of the most iconic landmarks of Northern England. Inside Durham Cathedral, the architecture and atmosphere is as equally inspiring and it is in this setting that Sting was joined by guest musicians including local Newcastle artists Kathryn Tickell (Northumbrian pipes and fiddle), Peter Tickell (fiddle) and Julian Sutton (Melodeon). Esteemed performers from around the world also include Dominic Miller (guitar), Vincent Segal (cello), Scottish harpist Mary Macmaster, Ira Coleman (bass), Chris Gekker (trumpet), David Mansfield (violin and mandolin), Cyro Baptista, Bashiri Johnson and Rhani Krija (percussion) and vocalists Laila Biali, Lisa Fischer, Jo Lawry, and Steven Santoro. Producer, Robert Sadin conducted the ensemble of 35 musicians, which includes additional string and brass sections.

Both the new album and DVD conjure the mood and spirit of the season with a diverse collection of songs, carols and lullabies spanning the centuries. Featuring traditional music of the British Isles as its starting point, Sting and guest musicians interpret stirring, folk-based melodies including "The Snow it Melts the Soonest" (traditional Newcastle ballad), "Soul Cake" (traditional English "begging" song), "Christmas at Sea" (traditional Scottish song) "Gabriel's Message" (14th century carol), "Balulalow" (lullaby by Peter Warlock) and "Now Winter Comes Slowly" (Henry Purcell). Two of Sting's own compositions are also featured: "Lullaby for an Anxious Child" and "The Hounds of Winter," which originally appeared on his previous release Mercury Falling.

In addition, the DVD programme features a setting of the "Coventry Carol" in which Sting and musicians are joined by the Durham Cathedral Boys' Choir, as well as songs not included on the album - Peter Warlock's haunting "Bethlehem Down", a lively arrangement of the traditional song "I Saw Three Ships" and Sting's own "Ghost Story".

"Sting: A Winter's Night...the Documentary" features a behind-the-scenes look at the concert's genesis, beginning with the album recording sessions at Sting's home in the Italian countryside, leading up to the final rehearsals at Durham Cathedral. Along the way, Sting revisits places from his childhood and reunites with old friends and band mates, swapping stories and reminiscing.

Featuring both a compelling live concert and evocative film footage, "Sting: A Winter's Night..." was directed and produced by the Emmy award winning team, Jim Gable and Ann Kim of Graying & Balding, Inc.

Marky Ramone is best known for the 15 years he spent drumming for the legendary Ramones. Marky appeared in the cult classic film “Rock n Roll High School” in 1979, performed over 1700 shows and recorded over 15 albums (studio, live) with the Ramones. In 2002, Marky and his bandmates became the first punk rock ensemble to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Six years and going strong, Marky’s radio show on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio was rated the #2 show on the Faction channel in 2009. While no experience is necessary, to ensure that all campers get the most out of their week, Rock ’n’ Roll Fantasy Camp is introducing the “RRFC Masters’ Program” for more accomplished participants.  This program is for prior Rock Camp participants ready for the big time and semi-professional musicians looking to take their music game to the next level.  By submitting tapes/videos ahead of the camp, seasoned musicians can be assured they will be grouped with other musicians of their caliber.

Europe may get them first, but the Pixies will tour the USA late this year.

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the release of their classic 1989 album Doolittle, the band - Black Francis, Kim Deal, Joey Santiago and David Lovering - will kick off the very special US "Doolittle Tour" at the Palladium in Los Angeles on Wednesday, November 4.  The U.S. tour will hit a total of nine cities, including three dates in New York City.  Ticket prices and on-sale dates will vary city to city, but some tickets go on sale as early as this Saturday, August 1 and can be purchased at the venues' box offices or online at http://www.ticketmaster.com/  See below for full itinerary and on-sale information.

On this tour, the Pixies will perform all of the songs from Doolittle and its related B-sides, "Weird at My School," "Dancing the Manta Ray," and "Bailey's Walk" among them.  Doolittle, the band's third album and the first to chart on Billboard's album charts, includes classics such as "Debaser," "Wave of Mutilation," "Here Comes Your Man," "Hey," and "Gouge Away."

"We wanted to do something special for Doolittle's 20th anniversary," said Black Francis, "and we thought this was a good opportunity to play all of the songs from that album, something we don't normally do at a regular gig."

With the first date in the UK still three months away, the band is brainstorming on Doolittle-related surprises that will also comprise the nights' entertainment.

The US dates will follow the seven-city/12-date "Doolittle" trek of the UK and Europe.  Kicking off on September 30 in Dublin, most dates have already sold out, including a four-night stand at London's Brixton Academy, where some 20,000 tickets vanished in about an hour.  In addition, on August 29, the band will perform a straight-ahead Pixies set of their classic songs spanning their entire career at the Virgin Festival at Burl's Creek Park outside of Toronto.

The Boston-formed Pixies have been acclaimed as the most influential pioneering band of the late 80s alt/rock movement.  Their five studio releases and six years together effectively blazed the path for groups like Nirvana, Radiohead and Pearl Jam to rise to superstardom.  They disbanded in 1993 and launched their reunion tour in April, 2004 when virtually every, single date sold out within minutes and fans traveled hundred of miles to attend a show.  In post-Pixies years, Black Francis has enjoyed a successful solo career as Frank Black, Kim Deal went on to form the Platinum-selling band the Breeders, Joey Santiago started the band The Martinis and has carved a career as a music composer for film and TV, and David Lovering performs as a magician and continues to drum. The US "Doolittle Tour" will be the band's first American trek since 2005.

On This day in 1965 "My Generation" Is recorded by The Who. Pete Townshend wrote this while The Who were on their first tour. In a 1987 Rolling Stone magazine interview, Townshend explained: "'My Generation' was very much about trying to find a place in society. I was very, very lost. The band was young then. It was believed that its career would be incredibly brief."

In 1970 Janis Joplins Ashes are scattered along the coast of California.

Ed Sullivan Passed away on this day in 1974.

"I Just Called To Say I Love You"  by Stevie Wonder went to #1 and would stay there for 3 weeks in 1984.

Sandy Miles announced today the release of her first illustrated children's book titled, "Birthday" - Words by John Lennon & Paul McCartney. The "Birthday" book contains only the lyrics originally written by Beatles John Lennon and Paul McCartney; and all of the book's illustrations were created by Miles to complement the story line.

Sandy Miles, a grandmother who lives in Bradenton, FL, discussed her motivation for this project, stating, "Let's face it, many children's books can be boring to read to our young ones, and small children seem to respond better when something is sung to them. I was excited about creating a children's book where the words are familiar to the parents and grandparents, who could sing the words to children. This book will introduce the lyrics of the Beatles to a whole new generation, and adults will enjoy receiving it as a birthday gift."

According to Wikipedia, the song Birthday was written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney on Sept. 18, 1968 and performed by the Beatles on their double album "The Beatles" commonly known as "The White Album". It is the opening track on the third side of the original LP and has been a well known tune for more than three generations.

The "'Birthday" book is Miles' first release of new concept books geared toward parents, grandparents, and Beatles fans for special occasions and unique gifts. To celebrate the company's 35th Anniversary, Taylor Guitars is honoring requests from players around the globe with the release of two very exclusive editions. Affectionately called the "you asked for it" guitars and constructed in limited quantities, the 12-fret, the XXXV-TF, and the parlor, the XXXV-P, pair vintage acoustic concepts from yesteryear with signature Taylor craftsmanship, delivering results that exquisitely expand Taylor's palette of acoustic voices.
 
With a warm, vintage voice, the XXXV-TF, a guitar named so for its 12 frets from the nut to the edge of the body, features a back and sides of spectacular AA-grade koa, an Engelmann spruce top, and a slotted headstock crowned with ebony. The geometry of the neck, body and bridge design in relation to each other translates into modern yet vintage tones. Bob Taylor shares, "It's probably the warmest Taylor guitar I've ever heard. The mid-tones are beautiful, and it's also loud. The whole experience of playing it is mesmerizing." Premium appointments include a bone nut and saddle, green heart abalone top trim, a single abalone rosette and a koa peghead backstrap.  To honor the anniversary, the 18-fret mahogany neck features the "35" inlay between the 11th and 12th frets, and is amplified with the Expression System®.
 
Not to be outdone, is the XXXV-P, a parlor guitar that's compact in size but rich with tone. The XXXV-P features a parlor body shape designed by Taylor's Larry Breedlove, with a back and sides of Madagascar rosewood and a top of wide grain Sitka spruce. Like the XXXV-TF, the mahogany neck joins the body at the 12-fret, while an ebony-topped slotted peghead is complemented by a bone nut and saddle. The bridge design, which draws from the Taylor Nylon Series bridge, features shortened ends and scalloped contouring for extra flexibility to enhance top movement and tone. A three-ring green heart abalone rosette and abalone dotted ebony bridge pins highlight the beautiful details of this all-gloss, small-bodied model, while parlor bracing and Taylor's proprietary Expression System pickup provide clear articulation with each strum.
 
The XXXV-TF will be offered at a suggested retail price of $6,998 and the XXXV-P at $5,998. All 35th Anniversary models will come with a certificate of authenticity signed by Taylor co-founders Bob Taylor and Kurt Listug. Further bolstering their status as rock legends, KISS announced today that, due to overwhelming demand, they have added five additional dates to their current North American KISS ALIVE 35 TOUR.

On the ALIVE 35 TOUR, KISS has an astounding 40-city lineup in place, but felt it necessary to add the five additional dates so that fans in all parts of the country could have a chance to see the rock legends in concert on what many are calling the "biggest and best KISS show ever."

The KISS ALIVE 35 TOUR recently embarked on September 25 in Detroit, Michigan and has been met with sold-out, standing-room-only crowds almost every stop of the tour. Fans are enthused by the new costumes, thumping-loud sets and over-the-top pyrotechnics.

Anarbor, fresh off a run of dates with The Almost and This Providence, has lined up a fall tour schedule that finds them supporting Straylight Run from 10/6-10-24 and Hawthorne Heights from 11/29-12/20.

The band’s track “You and I” off their recent Hopeless Records EP Free Your Mind, currently appears on the Cartoon Network original movie, Scooby Doo: The Mystery Begins. The film premiered on Cartoon Network last month and is now available on DVD and Blu-Ray. The home video version includes the music video for Anarbor’s “You And I” which premiered on Cartoon Network in August. Anarbor also recorded the theme song, “What’s New Scooby Doo” (originally done by Simple Plan).  The song appears during the end credits of the movie.

The Phoenix, area 4-piece is also preparing to head back to the studio to begin work on its first full length release with producer Mike Green (Paramore, Good Charlotte, The Matches).

Myles Kennedy, front man for melodic power rockers Alter Bridge, has been confirmed as a headline performer and keynote speaker for Billboard's Mobile Entertainment Live! October 6^th Fall 2009 Conference, presented by Logic Wireless. Mobile Entertainment Live! at Int’l CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment, taking place this week at the San Diego Convention Center.

In association with Rockpit.com, the new music website dedicated to all things rock, Kennedy will perform a live acoustic set at the Billboard Mobile Entertainment Live! Party at Hard Rock,San Diego. He also will preview, to the invite-only crowd of press and industry executives, the soon-to-be-released Alter Bridge Live in Amsterdam DVD, directed and produced by award-winning director Daniel E. Catullo III and DC3 Global Music, LLC.

Kennedy and Alter Bridge have emerged as rock music game-changers, building a loyal fan base both stateside and internationally through unconventional viral and digital marketing. The band’s creative digital and mobile outreach have been paramount to their rapid rise, allowing them to connect with their fans in a more authentic and meaningful way.

“Our world is changing right before our eyes,” says Kennedy. “The only way to truly stay connected and relevant to our fans everywhere is to take it straight to where they are – on their mobile phones. Kennedy is one of the most sought after rockers of the digital generation. His singer-songwriter prowess

 and four octave vocal range earned him a place opposite Mark Wahlberg and Jennifer Aniston in the

 2001 film Rock Star, directed by George Clooney. Credited with intensely resonating vocals influenced

by the greats of jazz and R&B, Kennedy also has been courted by Velvet Revolver, the members of Led

Zeppelin, and Creed. In 2004, Kennedy teamed up with three former members of Creed to form Alter

Bridge.

In a rare speaking appearance, Kennedy also will join Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy and Billboard Editorial Director Bill Werde on stage to discuss how the music industry can best use mobile technology and devices to keep fans engaged.
