New music from Tim Skold and Sascha Konietzko

Skold *vs* KMFDM

Tim Skold is anything but new to the music scene...he might not quite be a household name like Marilyn Manson, the band he was at one point a member of as well as produced..but he is still not someone to overlook. Having just reunited with Sascha Konietzko, of KMFDM fame and whom Skold once shared a musical partnership with as well, the two men worked on putting together a disc during a break from the latest KMFDM sessions for Blitz.

The product of the duo is titled SKOLD *vs* KMFDM and contains 22 tracks (released 02.24.09) of amazing and outstanding industrial rock with lots of eccentric, haunting notes and choruses. Even more impressive is all of this was accomplished  without the two of them even being on the same continent. According to Skold [the album is] "a very electronic album but [that] the majority of the instruments used are actually analog and many of them are not even electric. What we decided to intentionally avoid this time was the traditional electric guitar. This was done to confuse and bewilder our fans. We like to keep them on their toes and many of them appreciate the challenge."

Samples of the album can be heard as well as purchased at skoldvskmfdm.com. They even are offering a great bundle pack that includes a cd, tshirt and a few other goodies.
